Traceroute – the path your search takes in google

In continuation to my last post – Internet Backbone where we saw how the actual physical cables are laid out throughout the world for information transfer. Here we have a way to find the exact path taken.

In Windows

type “tracert x“—where “x” stands for the IP address, the domain name or the computer name

In Mac

type “traceroute x

just see the number of hops it takes to get the google search page. In the red box is the google IP
